While the "Morphogenien" were somewhat indifferent constellations of forms, Wintersberger put the focus in the years from 1967 to 74 onto razor-sharp injuries and violence, at the same level of artistic perfection. What is contradictory is the actually immaculate form and subtle coloring in contrast with the unsettling and painful process. Only at second sight can the observer detect a cut finger with a kerf in the nail and thus suffers this injury subconsciously. [DB]
