PROVENANCE: From artist's estate.

Our India ink drawing with pastel chalk is characteristic of Richard Ziegler‘s works from his early period of artistic creation in the 1920s, a time when the artist was a sensitive chronicler of his days. He lets us partake in urban life, which he, particularly after he had relocated to Berlin, describes with great curiosity and an unmistakable eye for details. [DB].
