"I can only take the intoxicating into the picture in a determined state, because if I were to add details, the fleeting aspect of the phenomenon would be lost and what I actually wanted to show would slip away from me in the longer painting process. (..) My goal is to depict the accidental. (..) The phenomenon that only exists this very moment and never again."
