Ebner/Gabelmann 798 R. Dube 149. Signed, dated, titled and inscribed "I Probe". One of to date ten known copies. On laid paper (with truncated watermark). 24.8 x 16 cm (9.7 x 6.2 in). Sheet: 44,5 x 29 cm (17,5 x 11,4 in).

• The motif was presumably made in context of Heckel's visit to a circus show in Erfurt.
