Lower right signed and dated. Verso titled "Boote zu Wasser II" and inscribed "2205 DMP 68" by a hand other than that of the artist. On slightly creme wove paper. 40 x 49 cm (15.7 x 19.2 in), the full sheet.
This drawing is a very early preliminary study for the watercolor "Ausfahrt zum Fischfang" from 1951 which is also offered in this auction (cf. lot 69). [JS].
