Descharnes 291. With name on plinth, number 2/35 and inscription "E.A.". With foundry mark "Perseo SA / Mendrisio" on bronze base. Artist's proof aside from the edition of 350. With base: 27 x 7,2 x 7,2 cm (10,6 x 2,8 x 2,8 in).
The birdman, a motif that Dali was occupied witrh in 1947, stands for virile fertility, - an importmant theme throughout the artist's life. Published by Inter Art Resources Ltd., London. [DB].
