• Rarity. The only copy of a total of five known prints still in private ownership.
• The other four copies are in the collections of the Brücke-Museum Berlin, the Museum Folkwang, Essen, the Staatliche Kunsthalle, Karlsruhe, and in the estate of Erich Heckel, Hemmenhofen.
• High-contrast, deep black print with wide margins.
• The motif is based on drawings Heckel made during his trip to Italy in the spring of 1909.
