• In 1989 part of the comprehensive Karl Schmidt-Rottluff retrospective exhibition at the Kunsthalle Bremen and the Städtische Galerie im Lenbachhaus in Munich.
• Schmidt-Rottluff detached the color from the depicted object and juxtaposes cold and warm colors to evoke a special, autumnal light mood.
• Throughout his life, the artist devoted himself to expressionist colors and created nuanced and painterly depictions of landscapes in a wide variety of techniques - in paintings, watercolors and drawings.
