• A fine burred impression with a clearly defined platemark and lively plate tone.
• Schmidt-Rottluff probably found the motif in Jershöft, a small town on the Baltic Sea in Pomerania, which the artist made his summer residence between 1920 and 1931.
• This is the only copy of this etching offered on the international auction market in the last 30 years (source: artprice)

The work is registered in the Hermann Gerlinger Collection as SHG 204a.

PROVENANCE: Hermann Gerlinger Collection, Würzburg (with the collector's stamp Lugt 6032).

In good condition. Some slight creases in the lower corners and parallel to the upper edge. Very few, faint traces of rubbing in the broad margin.
