• The Dutch painter studied at the State School of Arts and Crafts and the Royal Academy in Amsterdam between 1909 and 1911
• In 1918 he joined the artist association "De Onafhankelijken" (The Independents).
• Portrait of the little señorita in the manner of New Objectivity.
