• The year this work was made Bissier showed works at, among others, the documenta II in Kassel.
• In 1959/60 Bissier was honored with a retrospective at the Gemeente-Museum The Hague.
• On his annual stays in the Ticino the artist developed a close friendship with the English artist Ben Nicholson (1894-1982).

In soft colors and in a very good state of preservation. Edges irregularly trimmed by the artist. Upper edge with a small vertical creasemark. The condition report was compiled in daylight with the help of an ultraviolet light and to the best of knowledge.
