Polyester Relief in two parts.
Each part signed and dated on verso, as well as with inscription "h.gr." and with a label inscribed with the artist's address. 39.5 x 39.5 x 4 cm (15.5 x 15.5 x 1.5 in).
Horst Kuhnert cretaes his reliefs on base of a process of creation of three parts: Starting with a gypsum relief he always makes a negative in polyester. Our sheet is such a negative mold, the title "w.N.K." für 'weißes Negativ. Kugel' (white negative sphere) references the relief. In return the artist makes the final relief -here in the title "77 w.T." for 'weißer Tropfen' (white drop).
The negative molds from the process of creation, like our "1977 Raumfläche 77 w.N.K.", were hardly ever approved as individual artworks, which explains why they are so rare on the market.
