Dube L 266b. Signed, dated, titled and inscribed "Farbdruck". One of 5 colored copies known of so far, only one has ever been offered on the international auction market. This one is of a particular color intensity. On firm laid paper. 27 x 21,7 cm (10,6 x 8,5 in). Sheet: 50,5 x 30 cm (19,7 x 11,8 in).
The colored copies all differ in colors, since Heckel applied the colors anew onto the stone before every impression was made.
The work is registered in the Erich Heckel Estate, Hemmenhofen on Lake Constance. We are grateful to Renate Ebner and Hans Geissler for their kind support in cataloging this lot.
