All "Hohlspiegelobjekte", a term conceived by the artist himself, are characterized by a strict serial arrangement of identical elements. Luther's object's follow the mere purpose of being instruments of a new perception of light. They have a multidimensional effect, as, on the one hand, the mirrors reflect the space around them and, on the other, add optical dynamic. In some cases the sensory confusion plays a role in the work's reception, because the concave mirror objects do not only multiply their surroundings and twist and turn the perspective, moreover, the observer's change of perspective conveys a complex visual experience that results in ever new unusual moments of perception.
